As resident services providers expand their programs and services, using a data system is key to coordinating, quantifying and evaluating the impact of their program. The best data system is one that meets an organization's unique needs – there is no one size fits all approach!

Recognizing this, in 2020 SAHF developed a list of considerations when selecting a data system and information on some of the most commonly used resident services data systems leveraged by CORES certified organizations and SAHF members. To keep pace with ever-changing data systems and technology, SAHF has updated this guide to provide a starting place for those interested in investing in a data system for the first time, or finding a system that better aligns with their current programs and future growth.

Attendees also heard from practitioners at three organizations -True Ground Housing Partners, Preservation of Affordable Housing, and National Housing Trust - on some of the data systems they have used and their experiences.
