The Success Measures toolkit at Neighborworks America presents several tools, including observational assessments, surveys, and other creative methods, for evaluating resident experiences in the community, with a heavy emphasis on arts and cultural activities.
 
Although not a holistic look at all resident impact and outcomes areas, these tools provide a great resource for organizations looking to evaluate resident spaces and how placemaking, arts, and culture may intersect and support residents’ sense of belonging, pride in their community, and quality of life. Organizations may want to take pieces of this toolkit to utilize in their assessments, while omitting others from their evaluation process – depending on what is most valuable and limits the potential burden on residents.
