Training: CORES Resident Services Tools Deep Dive
A systems approach to resident services coordination – one that centers and actively engages residents - should regularly evaluate the assets and resources in the surrounding community, review resident demographics and backgrounds, and engage directly with residents to identify priorities and develop a property services plan with targeted goals for impact. These outcomes goals can then be assessed to ensure accountability and help the organization recognize and deepen its impact.
The CORES Certification requires organizations to demonstrate core capacities and processes using four key documents:
- Community Scan,
- Resident Opportunities & Priorities Assessment,
- Property Services Plan, and
- Resident Indicators & Analysis Report.
In this training, CORES staff provide an overview of each of these key tools, their functions, and examples of how they are used in practice by CORES certified organizations.
