While frontline resident services staff often provide direct programming and services for residents, most properties also rely on external partners to bring in additional resources, trainings, and services; and to deliver programming directly to residents. For many, partnerships have historically been developed in an ad hoc manor – leveraging opportunities as they present themselves – and without a system for identifying, vetting, and evaluating partners.
Three practitioners (Better Housing Coalition, Saint Mary Development Corporation, and Enterprise Community Development) share their approaches for engaging with potential partners, establishing shared goals and objectives, engaging residents in the partnership vetting process, and evaluating the impact of those partnerships.
